Introduction

IEC is exclusively Environment oriented company endeavoring to the promotion of sustainable development of mankind on Earth. With IEC we have internationally and nationally recognized expertise in the field of Consultancy and Advisory Services in multidiscipline relating to environment.

Environmental Impact Statement (EIS)

This technical document usually prepared at conceptual level of a project in a highly professional manner. It takes stock of almost all the project activities including; among many others; raw materials, their daily or monthly or yearly inputs, total wastes generation capacity with their quality and quantity and methods of their daily, monthly or yearly inputs; total wastes generation capacity with their quality and quantity and methods of their disposal. Their likely impact on environment, concrete strategies and methods to be adopted to keep their effects to the level prescribed by National Environment Quality Standards (NEQS). The impacts on environment even during construction are also highlighted with their mitigative actions. EIS is an environment oriented document always prepared by highly qualified environmentalists. Its submission along with the project feasibility to any funding institution is fastly becoming mandatory at national and international levels.

Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA)

Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) is a basic important tool aimed at extensive Environmental Audit of the impacts of a project activity that are likely to affect environment as a whole and suggests sound and concrete steps to mitigate these impacts. EIA is a process and not a step in itself. It starts at the project conception stage and passes through “Scoping” as a preliminary public participation stage from environmental concerns point of view. The filing of EIA document with project feasibility study is a prerequisite for funding by all foreign and national level funding agencies.

Air Dispersion Modelling (ADM)

Air Dispersion Modelling is a highly specialized job being carried out by environmentalists of high professional excellence. Where the ADM helps to forecast the level of air pollutants concentration on site plant and at different distances from the project activities, there it guides in providing design data to construct stacks within such parameters of construction which help to keep ground level concentrations of air pollutants from a project activity within the prescribed limits. In case of energy sector projects like power generation and where air emissions are to occur, ADM is an essential part of Environmental Impact Assessment.

Environmental Surveys (ES)

For most of the project planning including formation and preparation of action plans and strategies to fulfill a particular aim of any Environmental Management System, specific surveys are necessary to generate base line data from the state of the art. The more rational and extensive are the data of such surveys the more rational are the policies, strategies and action plans to be made and more are the chances of their success. Especially in the field of Environmental Control Strategies, these surveys need to be conducted by expert Environment Scientists who know the importance of the information to be collected.

Waste Management (WM)

Waste management is a process which starts from the stage of project conception and carries through actual production; waste generation; minimization, reduction, recycling, reusing, refurbishing, treating and scientific disposal. Waste Management (WM) encompasses the whole account of production activity including also like scooping, EIS, EIA, Waste handling and disposal. The cost benefit ratios are also of consideration in the process.

Cleaner Production (CP)/ Environmental Audit (EA)

Waste treatment is capital intensive especially when their nature is quite complicated and more so when they are produced in colossal quantities. In later case capital costs of wastes treatment plant become very high and recurring costs become a permanent cost add-up to the product thus marketing becomes quite difficult. In order to cut upon the additional costs to occur due to wastes treatment, it is always advisable from treatment costs point of view,  to go for total wastes mess-up treatment option. It is here that cleaner production provides an ample opportunity to go for Environmental Audit wherein highly experienced

environmentalists carry out unit to unit and process to process in depth technical and financial audit of a production facility. The CP aims at economizing the use of precious resources also including raw materials, process refining, energy efficiency, minimization of wastes and segregation of wastes at source so as to bring in economic efficiency in production and reduce wastes leaving as less as possible of these wastes for their final treatment.

Environmental Management Information Systems (EMIS)

Environment is the whole albeit wherein all activities in relation to are included in the Management Information System (EMIS). The information on the activities and elements of Environmental Management play key role in systematically understanding Environment- Development and Population linkages for effective Environmental Management. Depending upon the nature of activity it could be quite exclusive and specific and quite comprehensive. The true knowledge in concrete terms about the required parameters of a typical case for its effective environmental management is essential. To accomplish these goals, EMIS is the key to provide the required ready-made data.

Technology Transfer (TT) and Technology Assessment (TA)

The more appropriate is the technology, be it for production or wastes treatment or else, the more it is cost effective, from capital costs to recurring expenses, the more dividends it yields. In the context of wastes management including treatment and disposal, the choice of an apt and the most appropriate waste treatment technology is simply essential to keep the treatment costs within reach of especially an enterprise facing highly competitive markets and in general for all manufacturing and processing units complying with the national mandatory treatment levels of their wastes at IEC. We provide technologies the most appropriate for required wastes treatment requirements of our valued clients and help technology assessment as to its being appropriate or otherwise.

Scientific and Technical Services

In environmental management, due to financial liabilities it is difficult for industrial manufacturing and processing units to have all their wastes management expertise, skills and services from treatment to disposal stages. Even otherwise, to create such individual facilities including highly sophisticated analytical laboratory for wastes analysis at all stages from production to after treatment; operation, repair and maintenance of treatment plants; technical inputs regarding waste management during all times to come at various stages, to carry out environmental audit to further improve upon reduction of wastes; their treatment, is simply all too much for the entrepreneurs. Therefore, these services at the highest technical level are adequately available with IEC on cost effective basis.

Human Resource Development (HRD)

For a variety of activities in the perspect of wastes management, each entrepreneur needs to have its own trained manpower. It is this department that we train in-service industry staff in managing themselves their on-site environment analytical laboratory; control wastes treatment and mange treatment plants. We have much more than that in the wastes treatment as a package to be designed for the individual needs of manufacturing activity.

Environmental Advisory Services

In IEC we have a team of highly qualified, trained and experienced Environmentalists of high excellence from diverse fields of environment covering all fields related to Environmental Management. Our specialists enjoy high reputation with local and foreign funding institutions, consultants and technological institutions. Our expertise and facilities are always at the disposal of our valued clients at lucrative costs.

Laboratory Analytical Services

Our environment laboratory is providing analytical services for the monitoring of the quality of wastes, stack gases monitoring, particulate matter monitoring, noise levels monitoring as routine and especially to our clients as listed above. The monitoring results of this laboratory are accepted by the competent authority also as part of the SEIA/EIA reports prepared by IEC.
